Nursery: Quick Answers

What is the right age for Nursery at Skill-ed?

Nursery (Discoverers) is for children aged 3 to 4, counted on 31 March of the admission year. Most children join after a playgroup year, but a child who is settled and curious can start directly in Nursery.

See every class and its age on the programmes page.

What will my child learn in Nursery?

Nursery introduces letters, numbers, colours and shapes through hands-on activities. Children learn letter sounds with picture stories, count and spot patterns, and trace to build a pencil grip. The year builds phonics, number sense, hand-eye coordination, listening and expression.

What are the timings for Nursery at Skill-ed?

Nursery runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, the same as Playgroup and LKG, with no classes on Saturday. UKG, Grade 1 and Grade 2 finish at 1:30 PM. A child who needs a longer day can stay on in day care on the same campus, which is open until 6:00 PM, Saturdays included.

How do I apply for admission at Skill-ed?

There are four steps. Book a free tour and visit with your child, choose the class and a start date, submit the form and documents online or at the office, and then settle in gently over the first week with a parent nearby.

You can apply online in about two minutes, or book a tour first.
