UKG: Quick Answers

What is the right age for UKG at Skill-ed?

UKG (Achievers) is for children aged 5 to 6, counted on 31 March of the admission year. UKG is the year before Grade 1, so the focus is on getting children ready for regular school.

See every class and its age on the programmes page.

What will my child learn in UKG?

UKG is the third year of early education and prepares children for regular school. They read and write sentences and short stories, try hands-on science and logic activities, and practise speaking through show-and-tell. The year builds comprehension, independent writing, reasoning and school readiness.

What are the timings for UKG at Skill-ed?

UKG runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM, the same as Grade 1 and Grade 2, with no classes on Saturday. Playgroup, Nursery and LKG finish at 12:30 PM. A child who needs a longer day can stay on in day care on the same campus, which is open until 6:00 PM, Saturdays included.
